Rambling On is a fortnightly podcast from GoRV. This downloadable travel companion will keep you entertained for over an hour. Of course, if we get going on a subject, any given show could go for considerably longer.
It’s a light-hearted look at outdoor life from a group of holiday enthusiasts and hardened travellers who offer a mix of anecdotes, interviews, travel tips, and product reviews. With over a million collective kilometres around Australia under their belt, these guys have seen it all and want to share it with you.
Tim Smith rose through the stand-up ranks before coming to prominence via the hugely successful TV show The Comedy Company in the late 80s. He then became a mainstay at Triple M National, where he was part of several number one line-ups, including The Richard Stubbs Breakfast Show, The Cage, and Timbo and Bedders for Breakfast. For six years, he travelled throughout Australia as a host of the travel show Discover Downunder. Tim drives a crappy old Ford Bronco.
Simon Diaz has over 20 years of radio experience. Currently an announcer on Smooth FM, he and his family love getting out and about in his Jayco pop-top. Simon and his wife Julie are enjoying the experience even more now that their two boys are old enough to sleep in a tent outside the caravan. Simon drives a crappy old Nissan X-Trail.
Paula Gardner is an actress and presenter (The Comedy Company, Russell Gilbert Live, Full Frontal) who is a keen traveller. As a Far North Queensland girl who now lives in Melbourne, she’s seen plenty of this country and has a down-to-earth understanding of caravanning. Best of all, she’s not going to take any crap from the blokes. Paula drives an immaculately clean and tidy Mitsubishi Pajero.
